Ludogorets vs Ferencvaros prediction, odds & betting tips – 19/02/2026

Ludogorets and Ferencvaros are back in action in the Europa League when they go head to head in the first leg of the playoffs on Thursday. Having missed out on the top eight in the group-stage phase, both sides will be out to get an early march on in the tie as they look to keep their hopes of European glory alive.

FootballWhispers’ Ludogorets vs Ferencvaros prediction examines the odds of both teams coming out on top at the Huvepharma Arena and placing one foot in the round of 16.

Ludogorets vs Ferencvaros prediction: Another action-packed contest on the cards

Key stats

  • There have been at least three goals scored in four of the last five meetings between Ludogorets and Ferencvaros, with a combined 14 goals netted across the five matches.
  • Ferencvaros have opened the scoring in four of their last five games against Ludogorets, going on to win each of those four matches since a 1-1 stalemate back in December 2019.
  • Ludogorets head into Thursday’s game on a run of five consecutive victories, scoring eight goals and keeping three clean sheets since a 1-0 defeat against Rangers on January 22.
  • Ferencvaros have lost only two of their 27 competitive away games since February 2025, while picking up 20 wins and five draws in that time.

Correct score prediction: Ludogorets 1-2 Ferencvaros

Meetings between Ludogorets and Ferencvaros have often served up fireworks in the past, and given the stakes of Thursday’s tie, we expect both sides to go all out at the Huvepharma Arena in search of a first-leg advantage.

While Ludogorets will look to make the most of their home advantage, Ferencvaros have been near-impenetrable on the road over the last year and we fancy them to come away with a narrow victory.

Pre-game odds and win probability: A close one to call

  • HOME: 8/5 (2.60) – 38.5%
  • DRAW: 23/10 (3.30) – 30.3%
  • AWAY: 13/8 (2.63) – 38.1%

Ludogorets left it late to secure their spot in the Europa League playoffs as they held on to see out a 1-0 victory over French outfit Nice in their must-win group finale on January 29.

The Bulgarian giants kicked off the campaign with promise, claiming a 2-1 victory over Malmo in September’s curtain-raiser, but a run of four points from their following six games put their hopes of finishing in the top 24 under threat.

Petar Stanic grabbed the headlines for Ludogorets against Nice at the  Huvepharma Arena, where he netted the only goal of the game shortly before half time to send them into 22nd place, just one point above 25th placed Young Boys outside the playoff places.

Since that result, Per Mathias Hogmo’s men have gone on to win each of their subsequent four matches, including a 1-0 victory over Levski Sofia in the Bulgarian Super Cup final on February 3, and consecutive wins over Lokomotiv Sofia and Beroe in the Parva Liga, where they sit second in the table, seven points off top spot.

With Ludogorets currently firing on all cylinders, the bookmakers have their likelihood of victory on Thursday priced at 8/5, indicating a 38.5% win probability, while Ferencvaros have been given a 38.1% chance of coming out on top at the Huvepharma Arena.

Ferencvaros return to action in the Europa League, where they were left spitting feathers in their group finale on January 29, when they fell to a humbling 4-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest at Home Park.

Having gone unbeaten in their previous seven matches, picking up four wins and three draws, the loss to Nottingham Forest saw Robbie Keane's men miss out on automatic qualification for the round of 16 by just one point, as they finished 12th in the group standings, one point off eighth-placed AS Roma.

Ferencvaros lost their lead at the top of the Hungarian NB I standings last time out, when they fell to a 3-1 defeat against Zalaegerszegi, a result which snapped their run of three consecutive victories in all competitions and saw them drop into second place in the league table, three points behind Gyor.

While we take a deeper dive into both teams, you can take a look at some of FootballWhispers’ best picks and predictions for the European fixtures in today’s free football betting tips.

Most recent H2Hs: Ferencvaros out to extend dominant seven-year streak

Ferencvaros boast a clear upper hand in the history of this fixture, having won six of the previous nine meetings between the two teams, five more than Ferencvaros’ one win since their first encounter in July 2019.

The Hungarian outfit journey to the Huvepharma Arena unbeaten in each of their last six games against Thursday’s hosts, picking up four wins and two draws since a 3-0 defeat in October 2019.
