Despite being criticised for overplaying defenders, Ruben Amorim is reportedly eyeing up a move for Elche centre back, David Affengruber.

According to a report in TEAMtalk, Man Utd are prepared to make a bid of around £25 million for the 24-year-old, with Amorim convinced that he is the ideal long-term partner for Leny Yoro.

The report states that while a deal this winter is unlikely, there is a belief within Old Trafford that this is one they could get over the line in the summer.

United won't have a clear run at Affenbruger, though. Reports from Spain indicate that Atletico Madrid and Sevilla are also keen on the player, and the option to stay in La Liga could appeal to the defender.

Chelsea and Real Madrid to battle for Murillo

Nottingham Forest face a battle to keep hold of Murillo in 2026, with a number of big European clubs reportedly showing an interest in the Brazilian defender.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the 23-year-old is a top target for both Chelsea and Real Madrid, and both clubs are ready to go head-to-head for the player next summer.

In order to get the Brazilian out of the City Ground, either Chelsea or Real Madrid will have to bid at least £55 million. This was the figure that Newcastle paid for Anthony Elanga last summer, and Forest rate Murillo higher than the Swedish winger.

There will be an acceptance in the East Midlands that Murillo's time in Nottingham is coming to an end. However, there is at least a chance to make a healthy profit on a player they bought for just £10 million in 2023.

AC Milan to make bold move for Alisson

AC Milan are poised to launch a bid to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker in 2026, with the Italian club planning for life without Mike Maignan.

The Rossoneri have earmarked Alisson as their number one target to replace Maignan, and according to transfer expert, Sacha Tavolieri, they have already made contact with the Brazilian's camp.

While Liverpool wouldn't sanction a move this January, they are open to letting the former Roma goalkeeper leave next summer, as he enters the final year of his contract at Anfield.

The Reds already have a ready-made replacement for Alisson in the form of Giorgi Mamardashvili, who is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
