Latest transfer news today: Man City enter race for £65m forward as Harry Kane makes decision on his future
With the festive period now just a few weeks away, every club in the Premier League will be deep into their plans for the upcoming January transfer window.
Historically, this hasn't been a window for big moves, but that could be different this season due to how poorly some of the league's biggest sides are doing.
In today's transfer roundup, we have news about Man City's plans to provide Erling Haaland with more help, while we also have a big update on Harry Kane's future.

Man City step up pursuit of Antoine Semenyo
Manchester City are the latest major club to show an interest in activating Antoine Semenyo's £65m release clause this January, with Pep Guardiola keen to expand his attacking options.
According to TalkSport, the Blues are weighing up a move for the Bournemouth man this winter due to frustrations with how last season's January signing, Omar Marmoush, has fared at the Etihad Stadium.
It's not only Marmoush who has failed to live up to expectations this season, though. While Erling Haaland is having a brilliant individual campaign, with 14 league goals to his name already, City have nobody else who has scored more than one goal.
Semenyo, on the contrary, has six league goals to his name already and could provide the Cityzens with the spark they need in the final third.
Harry Kane to reject Barcelona move
Harry Kane's future has been the source of speculation since the beginning of the season, and there have been rumours linking the England captain with moves to Tottenham and Barcelona, among others.
However, the latest report from BILD in Germany indicates that Barcelona's attempts to lure Kane to the Camp Nou have failed.
The report states that the former Tottenham striker has decided to stay at Bayern Munich for at least one more season, due to how good his form has been since signing for them in 2023.
Kane also has the small matter of the World Cup to prepare for this summer, so any final decisions on his future will likely be postponed until the conclusion of that tournament.
Crystal Palace are linked with Joe Willock
Joe Willock is reportedly a target for Crystal Palace this winter, with the Newcastle midfielder now way down the pecking order at St James' Park.
A report from the Telegraph suggests that Crystal Palace believe a deal can be done in January, but are aware that they will need to pay for him up front rather than on a loan deal.
Newcastle are reportedly expected to push for a similar fee to the £21m they paid for him back in 2021 when they brought him in from Arsenal.
The 26-year-old is now considered the sixth-best midfielder in the Newcastle squad, and will need to move on to get the first-team football he craves.
